Every first Saturday of December, Old Town Leander hosts its Christmas Festival, put on by the Leander Chamber of Commerce and the City of Leander: the Rudolph Run, a Christmas Marketplace, a hometown parade, pictures with Santa, live performances, and local food and craft vendors.

Schedule
- 10am: Old Town Rudolph Run (chip-timed 5K; registration required)
- 11am–9pm: Christmas Marketplace: holiday vendors, kids' activities, live music, theater, crafts and food
- 1pm: Holiday Community Parade
- 6:30pm: Lighting of Leander's 60-ft Christmas tree, then Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) on the big screen, with hot chocolate

- Road closures 4:30am–11pm on Dec 5 around N. Brushy St, W. South St, Bagdad St and W. Willis St; extra closures 12:30–2:30pm for the parade (see the city page)
